In 1971 Bob and Anne Bagshaw opened their first KFC restaurant. Since that time, we are a family of 16 KFC, 9 KFC/Long John Silvers,

4 KFC/Taco Bells, 4 Long John Silvers, 1 KFC/A&W and 1 Taco Bell/Long John Silvers restaurants employing over 600 people.

The following is a brief retrospect of our growth achievements.

 

DECEMBER 1971
Opened first KFC in Jackson, Ohio along with partner Marvin Payne.

  MAY 1972
The Hillsboro, Ohio KFC opened. During 1972, the Bagshaw's obtained sole rights to Hillsboro, and Marvin Payne kept the Jackson location.
SEPTEMBER 1973
Opened the KFC in Greenfield, Ohio..
  JANUARY 1977
Marysville, Ohio opened as our first "ground up" constructed restaurant. KFC was the first major quick service restaurant in town. This was one of the first KFC's in the world with a drive-thru window.
May 1978
Purchased Portsmouth, New Boston, and Chillicothe, Ohio
  August 1979
Chillicothe relocated and opened a new facility.
September 1980
Rosemount (formerly Portsmouth) relocated and opened a new facility.
  December 1982
I-71 & 35 (Jeffersonville, Ohio) was purchased and the facility was converted to a KFC. Major remodeling completed in December, 1992.
AUGUST 1983
Washington Court House, Ohio KFC opened with a new facility
  JULY 1984
The KFC in Circleville, Ohio opened with a new facility.
NOVEMBER 1984
Purchased February 1984, we built a new facility in West Chester, Ohio..
  July 1986
The Wilmington, Ohio KFC opened with a new facility.
August 1986
Purchased our Portsmouth KFC, making this our third restaurant in the Portsmouth market. Remodeled in January, 1993.
  November 1986
Purchased Northern Kentucky market of Erlanger, Newport and Elsmere. The Elsmere location operated until March 1988.
June 1987
Our Florence, Kentucky KFC opened in the Northern Kentucky market. This remodel is largest facility and now our highest volume restaurant.
  October 1987
The KFC in Vandalia, Ohio opened with a new facility.
September 1988
The Englewood, Ohio KFC opened with a new facility.
  June 1989
Purchased the Brookville, Ohio kFC and remodeled thereafter.
June 1991
Relocated our New Boston KFC 2 1/2 blocks to a Wal-Mart Plaza with a new facility.
  August 1991
Purchased Northern Ohio market of Bowling Green, Fremont, and Port Clinton. Remodeled Bowling Green and later Fremont.
** And to Salute Bob & Anne's 20 Year Anniversary as KFC Franchisee's, our Hillsboro flagship restaurant was rebuilt on location.
December 1991
The Taylor Mill KFC opened with a new facility.
  April 1992
A new beautiful KFC restaurant was rebuilt and opened on the same location in Port Clinton. This restaurant was Bagshaw Enterprises first Colonel's Buffet installation.
November 1993
The KFC in Erlanger, Ky. was remodeled.
  June 1994
Purchased the Findlay, Oh. KFC. Remodeled in the fall.
August 1994
Rebuilt the Fremont KFC facility on-site, seating 80 with an in-line buffet.
  January 1995
Remodel of Greenfield KFC completed.
August 1995
Bagshaw Enterprises moved into our new office of 12,000 square feet complete with a training-meeting and conference space with state of the art furnishings and equipment.
  December 1995
After a heartbreaking mid-April fire, we rebuilt and opened a beautiful new facility in West Chester complete with buffet, comfortable dining and labor saving devices and facility layout.
August 1996
In conjunction with our fall managment conferenct we celebrated Bagshaw Enterprises 25th Anniversary with family and friends.
  January 1997
Saw the rollout of new Panasonic register systems to each of our locations. Automated data collection to corporate office. The end of 1997 held a flurry of activity in interior remodels for: Florence, Chillicothe, Circleville, Marysville, Washington Court House.
February 1997
1st KFC/Taco Bell 2-n-1 concept rolled in Greenfield.
  April 1997
Management participated in Senn-Delaney Leadership Training in Louisville, Ky. 2nd KFC/Taco Bell 2-n-1 concept opened in Taylor Mill, Ky.
September 1997
3rd KFC/Taco Bell 2-n-1 concept opened in Brookville.
  June 1998
Opened our 1st End-cap facility in Newport Ky.
September 1998
Purchased the existing Aberdeen, Ohio KFC.
  November 1998
Opened a new facility in the Columbus market in Pickerington, Ohio.
April 1999
Wilmington, Oh. KFC underwent a complete exterior remodel becoming our 1st series 6000 restaurant.
  June 1999
Purchased the existing Sidney, Oh KFC.
September 1999
Rolled out 5 new KFC Chicken Sandwiches and fully reconstructed Menu Boards at all 26 locations.
  November 1999
Purchased the existing Taco Bell at I75 & 35 (Jeffersonville Oh.).
March 2000
Relocated & built a new Findlay KFC. Findlay went on to win the "Highest Sales Increase" award for Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Major remodel of the Sidney KFC.
Message repeaters installed in 25 restaurants.
  December 2000
Rebuild and conversion of the Rosemount location to a KFC/Taco Bell.

2001

Removed 22 buffet units.

 

May 2001

Opened a new KFC/A&W facility in Columbus, Ohio market in Obetz, Ohio.

September 2001

Relocated, rebuilt and converted the Jeffersonville KFC to a KFC/A&W.

 

March 2002

First Taco Bell/Long John Silvers 2-in-1 concept rolled in Jeffersonville.

June 2002

Remodeled Washington Court House KFC to a Series 6000 building.

 

July 2002

Remodeled Erlanger KFC to a Series 6000 building.

December 2002

Remodeled Brookville KFC/Taco Bell to a Series 6000 building and converted license to franchise.

 

February 2003

Purchased Wilmington Long John Silvers.

August 2003

Converted Vandalia KFC to our first KFC/LJS.

 

September 2003

Purchased Jackson and Wellston KFC's.  The Jackson KFC was Bob & Anne Bagshaw's first KFC with partner Marvin Payne.

October 2003

Converted Findlay KFC to a KFC/LJS.

 

November 2003

Switched accounting services to an out-of-house firm called FSC.

December 2003

Remodeled Taylor Mill, Kentucky KFC/Taco Bell to Series 6000 building and converted license to franchise.

 

July 2004

Converted Obetz KFC/A&W to a KFC/LJS.

October 2004

Major remodel of Wellston KFC and converted into a KFC/LJS.

Pickerington KFC won the National 2004 KFC Customer Mania contest.

 

November 2004

Major rollout of all new interior and exterior Menu Board.

December 2004

Purchased both the Erlanger, KY LJS and the Latonia, KY LJS.

 

January 2005

Rebuilt and converted Bowling Green KFC to a KFC/LJS Y'04 building.

April 2005

Converted Newport to a KFC/LJS.

 

July 2005

Major remodel of the Florence KFC and converted into a KFC/LJS.

Purchased Springboro, Ohio LJS.

September 2005

Opened a brand new Y'04 building in Canal Winchester as a KFC/LJS.

 

Fall 2005

Newport KFC/LJS won the National YUM! Customer Mania Contest.

June 2006
